This was the first time this international course was run in the North East. Aiming to help make our community a happier and more caring place, we ran this unique and inspiring 8-week course to explore what matters for a happy and meaningful life. Based on thinking from Positive Psychology, wellbeing theory and incorporating an introduction to mindfulness, the course was backed by the Dalai Lama, who said:
"I am delighted to see the work being done by members of this movement to create a happier and more caring society. I wholeheartedly support the Exploring What Matters course and hope that many thousands of people will benefit from it and be inspired to take their own action to help create a happier world."
